Now that your characters are created, it's time to think about where they will live and where the action in the story will take place. Check out Miss Liz's silly adventures below for a variety of locations. Can you find Miss Liz's character and where her story takes place? Now it's time to draw the setting of your story. It can be as simple as a house or as wild as outer space, but remember that this is where your character will live and all the events will unfold. Miss Julie's visit to our Zoom meeting was a great introduction to exploring the 5 senses. Enjoy the story below, "My Five Senses" by Aliki and comment below when you "become aware" of your senses at work! We'd love to know the wonderful things YOU are seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and touching! Check out part one below to find out who our special guest this morning was! Hey everyone! We had a special guest this morning on our zoom call. If you were unable to join us, watch the video below to find out who it was! This is part 1. Make sure you check out part 2 below. Tomorrow is Earth Day! As a school we are asking you to carefully look at nature. Can you find or create a heart shape in nature or by using nature? When you do, snap a photo of it, and we will make a beautiful collage. Maybe try to get yourself into the photo as well.
This week we are going to continue with letter Ee. This can be a tricky letter to form so let's practice together! All you'll need is a paintbrush and a cup of water! Watch the video below and follow along to practice writing the upper and lower case letter us! If you come up with words that start with letter Ee, please add them in the comments below and we"ll add them to our list! So far we have elephant, elevator, eagle and Everly! Looking for some ideas to keep the kiddos busy and pass the time? Here are some wonderful suggestions from Mrs. Kramer! Send us photos of the kids trying some of these timeless activities.
-Read a book in a creative place outside. -Make a mud pie and decorate it with sticks, stones, leaves or any nature. (Best after a rainy day) -Set a proper table (call a grandparent and ask where the silverware goes!.) -Pick flowers and arrange them in a vase for your dinner table. -Bake something! Read the recipe and follow the directions. -Make and send a card to someone. -Write a positive message on your sidewalk, driveway or in a park. (6 Feet apart, but close at heart, We’re in this together, Stay Safe, You are not alone, We can do this). -Write a thank you sign for your mail carrier, ups driver and post it on your door, window or mailbox - Gather all of the garbage in the house and fill your trash bin and leave it out on trash day. -Roll down a long grassy hill. Send us the video! -Plant something: flowers in a pot for your porch or seeds in a garden. -Ride a bike! Doesn’t matter the size. Go for it! We are still practicing the number 9 this week so we thought we would try a game of "nine, nine, make a rhyme!" with our special guest star, Rhyming Rabbit. Play along to find matching pairs and don't forget to hit the pause button if your child needs a little more time. If you want to extend the game, and your child is ready, ask them to provide an additional rhyming word to the pair! |
